IRVINE, Calif., June 12, 2002 – Mitsubishi Digital Electronics
America's Presentation Products Division, maker of award-winning,
high-quality presentation and display products, announces
its MegaView Wall Automatic Color Space Control (CSC) software
that guarantees color uniformity by scientifically quantifying
color measurements and calculating a color solution that
is applied to each cube. The software, developed by Mitsubishi
Digital and distributed exclusively for the MegaView Wall
product line, automates the color-matching process, making
set-up quick and easy.
"Mitsubishi is known for its color superiority," says
Patty Wenke, product manager for Mitsubishi Digital. "And
the MegaView Wall Automatic Color Space Control software
is the latest technological advance that we offer to our
system integrators."
Color
uniformity is particularly important in a data wall, where
screens
are almost seamless across the display. Typically,
a technician adjusts color "by eye," which is subjective
and can be inaccurate. The MegaView Wall Automatic Color
Space Control software, however, uses measurements and mathematical
algorithms to calculate a "color solution," and
applies the settings throughout the wall. The results are
rich, vibrant colors that match each cube exactly to the
others.
Installation
becomes easier and more efficient by using computerization
in the
color setting process. During installation,
a laptop computer takes readings from a colorimeter, a device
that measures primary colors in the display. The MegaView
Wall Automatic Color Space Control software then calculates
a "color solution" and adjusts each cube.
Mitsubishi Digital's new color algorithm streamlines the
color adjustment process by readjusting color after replacing
the lamp or making other adjustments that may change color
values.
"After a service call the technician usually fine-tunes
color values," said Len Nagel, manager of engineering
and product development, Mitsubishi Digital's Presentation
Products division. "The MegaView Wall Automatic Color
Space Control software, lets the tech adjust the CSC on the
whole wall quickly, easily, and most important accurately,
allowing for less down time."
Mitsubishi Digital's MegaView Wall Automatic Color Space
Control software is currently available free of charge to
all authorized system integrators for all MegaView Wall products,
including its 50-inch cube, its new 67-inch cube, and its
new SXGA engine product.
