IRVINE, Calif., June 12, 2002 – Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America's Presentation Products Division, maker of award-winning, high-quality presentation and display products, announces the one of the best warranty program in the presentation industry for its LCD and Texas Instruments Digital Light Processing™ Technology projectors. For any new projector, as well as some of those announced last year, the program lasts 50 percent longer than most other manufacturers' warranties; Mitsubishi Digital's last for three years and includes an Express Replacement Assistance (ERA) program.

Mitsubishi Digital's warranty is at least a year longer than most other projector companies. "I can't believe they keep parts for that long!" joked William Bohannan, Ph.D. projector industry expert and head of Manx Research. "A three-year, 24-hour turnaround commitment shows how much they support their customers and their products," he added.

Unlike any other projector manufacturer, each Mitsubishi Digital projector comes with a three-year warranty on parts and labor plus a 90-day warranty on the lamp. Its ERA program is included for all three years on XGA models, and the first two years for SVGA models; it is a comprehensive service provided for units under warranty that offers next business-day replacement for units when and where available, served by leading express couriers.

Installation becomes easier and more efficient by using computerization in the color setting process. During installation, a laptop computer takes readings from a colorimeter, a device that measures primary colors in the display. The MegaView Wall Automatic Color Space Control software then calculates a "color solution" and adjusts each cube.

Mitsubishi Digital is the only projector manufacturer to offer such a comprehensive warranty for three years. In fact, the company is a reseller favorite; it received the highest rating from Pacific Media Associates' 2001 Large Displays Reseller Survey, which concluded that Mitsubishi Digital ranked above all others in its manufacturers' total composite rating. In this annual survey, resellers rated manufacturers on products, marketing support, and pre- and post-sales support.
