Mitsubishi MLM300 and MLM400 Better Alternative Than Plasma for Professional Imaging and Display Applications

IRVINE, Calif., November 18, 2003 – Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Presentation Products Division, maker of award-winning, high-quality presentation and display products, today introduced two new LCD monitors to meet the growing demands of the professional display marketplace. The sharp resolution and long-term image purity and reliability of LCD technology make the new Mitsubishi MLM300 and MLM400 LCD monitors a better performance and better value than plasma monitors for extended-use applications.

Our customers have found that their plasma monitors, over time, have burn-in and fading issues requiring panel replacement at a higher rate,” said Steve Medina, senior product manager for Mitsubishi Digital. “Our new LCD monitors provide longer life, flexible installation options, and are a better choice for digital signage applications than the shorter-lived plasma screens.

Designed for all applications where image quality and reliability are major factors, Mitsubishi Digital’s new MLM300 and MLM400 are thin monitors with higher, WXGA (1280 x 768 pixels) resolution and enduring LCD brightness and color purity that translate to sharper images, more legible text, and longer lasting performance. Exacting LCD technology specifications provide the depth and detail necessary for even the most demanding uses such as public signage, retail displays, medical imaging, high or standard definition video editing and viewing, or CAD/CAM applications. Windows® and Macintosh® compatibility further increases operating system flexibility. With a stunning black Diamond Grey finish and optional speakers which can be mounted in landscape and portrait position, Mitsubishi’s LCD monitors fit perfectly into stand-alone installations as well as multi-panel configurations.

In addition, both MLM300 and MLM400 are networkable through Mitsubishi’s exclusive ProjectorView™ device for better and easier controls and adjustments. Accessing its menus and control information through the Internet or a LAN is easy and efficient; a monitor can be easily controlled and monitored from anywhere within an enterprise - or the world.

Like Mitsubishi’s award-winning line of projectors, the MLM300 and MLM400 offer Natural Color Matrix™ Natural Color Matrix color adjustment for precise color adjustment in critical business applications. Red, Green, Blue as well as Cyan, Yellow and Magenta levels can be independently adjusted.

Pricing and Availability
The Mitsubishi MLM300, with a 29.5” viewing screen, will be available in early December, 2003, with a MSRP of $4495; the Mitsubishi MLM400, with a full 40” viewing screen, will follow shortly by the end of December, 2003, at a MSRP of $6495. Resellers will be setting their individual selling price. Each monitor comes with a full 1-year warranty on parts and labor.
