Cindy Davis of K12-Tech Decisions says, “Mitsubishi’s “Cloud” Projector Puts an End to the Most Common AV/IT Help Desk Call”
“With the launch the WD390U-EST Extreme Short Throw Projector, Mitsubishi Electric has eliminated the need for a presenter to have to hook up their computer to the projector. The projector has a thin client built-in that accesses a LAN or the Internet where content is stored in “the cloud.” Once a user is logged-in, the projector becomes an active display and the presentation is controlled with a Bluetooth-enabled keyboard and mouse. Ah – the thought of not needing to lug my laptop around is — priceless.”
Widescreen from a Short Distance
Project big, beautiful images from as close as 22 inches and with an extremely low throw ratio of 0.375. Using built-in optimal optical engine design and a large-diameter lens, these DLP projectors let the presenter move in front of projected images without being disturbed by projector lights. The classroom projector delivers brilliant images with 3000lm high luminosity and 3000:1 high contrast.
Expand Creativity and Learning with Tablets and Smartphones
Used with a tablet incorporating the SidePad function or Wifi Doc, it is possible to expand the breadth of classroom communications even further.
Thin Client Projector Enabling Access to the Cloud
When connected to a LAN, users can log-in to remote computers directly from the projector, retrieve stored images and play them back. This eliminates the need to carry around data and enables simple, no-fuss projection. The WD390U-EST itself also functions as a terminal adapter enabling connection to a cloud through a computer or server. Applications and data can be used in the cloud infrastructure environment, helping to reduce the amount invested in school equipment. Amazingly Easy to Use and gives presenters access to information from their remote servers.
Used in combination with LAN Display System, the images being projected can be displayed on tablets or smartphones, and the computer can be operated from a tablet. Teachers can remotely access their computer when carrying a tablet with them in the classroom, thereby facilitating even closer communication with students during lessons. * This feature can be used after downloading the MirrorOp Receiver application software (freeware).
Wifi Doc is application software that allows data stored on a tablet or smartphone (txt/pdf/ppt/xls/doc/jpeg files) to be sent directly to a projector and shown. Useful images can be quickly accessed and shared while simultaneously giving presenters the freedom to interact more closely with the audience. * Please download a freeware Wifi Doc application (both freeware and payware are available). * Mirroring of the tablet screen is not supported.

Lamp Compatibility Information:
Mitsubishi DLP® and LCD projectors have been manufactured to strict specifications and are designed for use with genuine Mitsubishi replacement parts for optimal performance. The lamps used in Mitsubishi DLP® and LCD projectors are critical parts. The factory-provided lamps were specifically designed to meet certain performance, quality, and design specifications. Non-Mitsubishi lamps may not meet those same standards, may not be compatible with your projector model, and/or may not be as reliable and durable as Mitsubishi lamps, all of which may negatively impact the performance and operation of your projector.
Replacement of the factory lamp with, or any other use of, non-Mitsubishi lamps, including but not limited to counterfeit lamps, is strongly discouraged and may reduce coverage under our limited warranty and service policy.
